The Jordanelle Corridor
Staying Near Deer Valley’s New East Village
Updated July 2026
The largest ski resort expansion in history is rising ten minutes from our door. Deer Valley’s East Village — the resort’s new base area off US-40, above the Jordanelle Reservoir — is transforming which side of the mountain smart visitors stay on. The Skyfall Residence sits in the middle of it: a private, four-bedroom home up the corridor, minutes from the new lifts, without a base-village price tag or base-village crowds.
What’s New for the 2026–27 Season
- Hail Peak Express — a new high-speed detachable quad announced for 2026–27, serving seven new trails and roughly 200 additional skiable acres.
- Grand Hyatt Deer Valley — open and anchoring the village with more than 400 rooms and direct lift access.
- Four Seasons — under construction beside the village, anticipated for winter 2026–27.
- Waldorf Astoria — announced in early 2026 for a later phase, a signal of where this side of the mountain is headed.
The full build-out — 3,700 added acres, 135 new runs, 16 new lifts, and a ten-passenger gondola — roughly doubles Deer Valley and shifts its center of gravity toward the Jordanelle. The terrain remains ski-only, groomed to the standard Deer Valley is famous for.
Why Stay on the Jordanelle Side
The old calculus — stay in Park City, drive to Deer Valley — inverts here. From the Skyfall Residence, East Village is a straight run down US-40. No Main Street traffic, no parking-structure shuffle: breakfast at the residence, first chair while day visitors are still queuing on SR-248.
| From the residence | Drive |

| Jordanelle Reservoir | 5 min |
| Deer Valley — East Village | 10 min |

The Residence
Four bedrooms, three baths, sleeping twelve across 2,691 square feet of mountain-modern calm — with a private sauna and hot tub at the residence. Warm woods, natural stone, gabled glass framing the Wasatch. It is the group-trip answer this side of the mountain has been missing: the whole family under one roof, ten minutes from the newest lifts in North America.
The residence welcomes its first guests in January 2027, and reservations are open now. Check availability — direct rates run 10–15% below Airbnb and Vrbo.
Questions We Hear
How far is the residence from East Village?
About ten minutes by car, straight down US-40 — you never touch Park City traffic.
Is Deer Valley still ski-only?
Yes — including all the expanded terrain. Snowboarders in your group can ride at Park City Mountain and Canyons Village, 15–25 minutes away, which makes the residence a fair basecamp for a mixed group.
Will the expansion be finished for our stay?
The expansion opens in phases across several seasons. The 2026–27 season adds Hail Peak Express and its trails to what opened in 2024–25 and 2025–26; construction continues in later phases. We keep this page current — it was last updated July 2026.
